Dear Friends,
I’ve been finding many of the blessings you’ve been reading in your July and August newsletters. I have to say that it’s been a good practice for me to spend time every week searching for blessings. Choosing to seek a blessing has helped me lessen the impact of the onslaught of bad news, and it’s been a way to (re)claim a little agency in the face of an upwelling sense of helplessness. If I can find a blessing when my spirit is being battered by current events, then I have a choice about how I respond to what surrounds me. And knowing there’s a choice offers me hope. What helps you (re)claim a sense of agency in these times?
In faith and love,
Karen
