Minister’s Musings – Within & Between 1/26/22

Check-in question: What do you do to stay in touch with your intentions as you go through your days?

At the center of your being, you have the answer; you know who you are, and you know what you want. — Lao Tzu

Dear Friends,

There’s an intersection for me between the Lao Tzu quote about knowing who we are and the upcoming Imbolc sabbat. Lao Tzu says we know who we are, deep down inside, and for modern Pagans, Imbolc has evolved into being a day to begin to fuel the fires of creativity after a season of hibernation and introspection. The intersection is in the creative process – for me, one of the ways into understanding my true self is through what I create. Doodling, coloring, writing the occasional poem, praying spontaneously, planting a garden – all of these creative activities offer my a glimpse into who I am, if I pay attention.

What are you looking forward to creating when you move out of your hibernation and introspection? And what will it tell you about yourself?

In faith and love,

Karen
