Belonging to the Earth

September 22 marks the autumnal equinox. We’ll honor this holiday, called Mabon in some Earth-Based traditions, with song, ritual, and reflection on our relationship to the Earth. One aspect of Mabon rituals is giving thanks for the harvest, and sharing with those who are less fortunate.

You are invited to bring one or more non-perishable food items for the Goodman Center Food Pantry, which we will place in a donation basket as part of our ritual. You are also invited to wear fall colors of red, orange, yellow, or brown to this service!

  • The Share the Plate recipient for August 14th and 21st is the Fritz Food Pantry at the Goodman Community Center. They provide groceries for more than 350 households every week. They believe everyone should have access to a variety of healthy, fresh foods, regardless of their income level, and they are proud to provide this valuable service to anyone in our community who needs it. All are welcome. Thank you to Deb Myrbo for nominating them!
