The Beauty of Us All – Flower Communion

Floral bouquets and small pride flags

Our annual flower communion service falls on the first Sunday of Pride month!  We’ll begin exploring the June theme of flourishing together, by celebrating the beauty we bring and create as a community, and the beauty of kinship created in queer community. [Image from commons.wikimedia.org].

Please bring a flower to contribute to a communal bouquet – we’ll all get to take home a flower that someone else brought. Don’t worry if you don’t have a flower to bring – we will have extras to share!

Worship Associate: Susan Podebradsky; Special Music: JRUUC Sacred Breath Choir & Denise Jacobs

  • The Share the Plate recipient for Sunday June 7 and 14 is Friends of the State Street Family. FSSF provides help, hope, and friendship to our neighbors struggling with the challenges of homelessness by giving them basic need services for survival. Their goal is to help our homeless neighbors on their journey to permanent, supportive housing, support for sobriety, trauma counseling, medical or mental health care. They were nominated by Liz Green.
