How Can I Help?
What can one person do? A lot! Join us as we work together to build the Beloved Community. You can contribute with short-term projects or tasks or as part of an on-going team. We hope you find something here that speaks to your desire to share your time and talent with the world. For the most recent opportunities please check out our weekly newsletter.
Caring Tree Co-coordinators Needed
Your beloved community needs 1-2 volunteers to be caring tree co-coordinators. It is an amazing way to get to know and help others in our Reeb family. The regular responsibilities include a monthly meeting and weekly follow up on Joys and Concerns as needed. The heart of the job is notifying team members when a request for help has been made. Usually it is a fun and easy way to support others. Sometimes serious situations require a higher level of involvement and communication. Meal Train’s need to be set up and monitored periodically. Contact the caring tree at care@jruuc.org for more information.

Join Your Membership Team!
The JRUUC Membership Team is in need of additional helping hands and hearts. Among many other activities that build belonging, we
- Coordinate hospitality services and greeters
- Conduct the Getting To Know JRUUC classes
- Schedule congregational social activities based on people’s interests
- Coordinate outreach activities and work with newcomers
At present, we especially need volunteers who are good at planning and publicizing social activities, but any help is welcome. Our team charge describes our work in more detail.
Interested? Please contact the Membership Team at membership@jruuc.org.
Zoom Coffee Hour Host Needed
Do you like to chat with others in your spiritual family? Do you have one hour a month (after Sunday service) to spend on a very important JRUUC offering? Well, this is your chance! We are looking for one or two people to join the regular coffee hour hosts. We will provide training and tips for the Zoom event. If interested, contact Mary Wagner.
We Need More Greeters!
Please consider making a difference at JRUUC by becoming a greeter! For one Sunday per month, greeters arrive 20-30 minutes before service to get the building ready to welcome everyone, start the coffee, and greet everyone who arrives. After service, greeters clean up the kitchen so that we are ready to go for next Sunday. Please contact Liz Chapa if this sounds fun and you’d like to be added to the group. Training will be provided.
Many Hands Work Day – Watch Your Newsletter for Dates

Please contact Renee Buchanan with any questions. Light snacks will be provided! Click here for the latest newsletter.

Community Meals – 3rd Sundays
Most months, we meet after the service on the third Sunday of the month for a potluck or “cooked for all” meal. We are always looking for volunteers to help cook for our community meals! Vegan, vegetarian, Gluten/Dairy Free items are always appreciated! Community meals are usually held on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Please contact us at re@jruuc.org to sign up with a dish! Your support is what helps us be able to continue this important community building and fellowship.
In order to lessen the burden on third Sunday greeters, Genevieve is also asking for volunteers to help with set up/clean up after service on third Sundays for the community meals. Responsibilities will include setting up tables and chairs as well as ensuring the dishwasher is run and all counters are wiped down. Please contact us at re@jruuc.org if you have any questions or are interested in volunteering.
Thank you!
