Guest speaker Amie Heeter joins us today. Yoga as a sacred tradition brings us into a deeper connection with life; harmonizing our inner and outer worlds and expanding our sense of self and what gifts we have to offer. There is a part of us that is always changing, the “becoming” part of ourselves. The part of us that is subject to time and space, cause and effect. We can become habituated in our perception and actions, moving through life from a mostly unconscious automatic pilot mindset. There is also a part of us that is unchanging, the “being” part of ourselves. It is innately whole and sourced in unconditioned, pure consciousness. Anchored in belonging. Seeing things as they actually are. The interplay of these two aspects opens pathways of possibility, connection, and recognition that life is a gift worthy of our fullest expression.

Amie Heeter is a nature enthusiast, adventurer, and long time practitioner particularly motivated by the intersection of mind/body traditions of the East and modern research sourced in mindfulness and neuroplasticity in the West. A yoga and meditation teacher since 2004, she regards yoga, meditation, and mindfulness as some of the best systems available to sustain health in our body, cultivate stability and resilience in our mind, and open pathways to our luminous heart.
