A God As Big As Lake Superior, or a Pandemic

Inspired by the Great Lakes, this service outlines the evolution of the speaker’s naturalistic, theological humanism, with reflection on current circumstance.

Rev. David Kraemer serves United Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Waukesha, WI. He is a graduate of United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities and was ordained in 2015 at his then-home church in Rochester, MN. He is a former journalist, working as a reporter and editor at newspapers in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. He has been an avid canoeist and kayaker, which turn out to be excellent activities for social distancing.

  • Our Share the plate recipient for May 3rd and May 10th is the Dane County Community Defense Team – founded in response to the COVID-19 crisis by the Madison IWW General Defense Committee.

    The CDT has been delivering direct financial assistance, food, emotional support, supplies and medical advice. As of 4/2/2020 they have distributed over $21k in assistance, fed 1,126 people, set up 29 emotional support partnerships and 34 medical question support calls. They need our help to keep the project going and delivering community centered, bottom up, non means tested critical aid to community members.
