Many religious traditions include compassion as one of their foundational tenets, and the word appears several times in our Unitarian Universalist statement of shared values. This morning, we’ll explore ways we might cultivate compassion individually and collectively, and what it might call us to do.

The Share the Plate recipient for September 28 and October 5 is the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice. WNPJ is a coalition of activists throughout Wisconsin. They advance a sustainable world free from violence and injustice by connecting, engaging, and strengthening member groups and serving as a catalyst for community organizing and education. They were nominated by Jocie Luglio.
