Independence Day, in the US, is a celebration of our nation’s declaration that we rule ourselves. Interdependence is one of the seven core values of Unitarian Universalism. This morning, we’ll explore the tensions between our understandings of ourselves as separate beings as inextricably linked together and to all that is around us. The Share the Plate recipient for Sunday June 28th and Sunday July 6th is Wheels for Winners. Wheels for Winners provides bicycles to individuals experiencing challenges in their daily lives who perform community service by refurbishing donated bicycles and providing them to people in the community in a way that promotes positive community values. Wheels for Winners was nominated by Kathy Soma.
