This service will be at McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg at 10:00 am.
This is our third year joining together as the three Madison UU congregations. These times call us to reflect on the role of our shared community in response to authoritarianism. This morning, we’ll explore how we might organize in resistance while finding strength, hope, and resilience in each other and in our wider association.
We’ll have a potluck meal after the service – please bring a dish to share, and a plate and utensils.
The Share the Plate recipient on August 3 is the Pink Haven Coalition, a collective of organizations and individuals who are committed to trans liberation and joy and to growing community defense, mutual-aid, and alternative systems of care for gender diverse people. In response to the increasingly hostile legislative environment in the United States, with more than 550 legislative acts in the last year seeking to eradicate transgender people from public life, Pink Haven is working to create networks of safety and direct support for trans beloveds and their families who need to relocate, access healthcare across state lines, or stay as safe as possible where they are.
