Congregational Listening Session with the Covid-19 Task Force – Sunday, June 18 after service
Although the emergency orders ended this month, we know Covid isn’t over, and we want to continue to be guided by the mission statement of this congregation, the principles of Unitarian Universalism, and science. We’re aware that there is a wide range of comfort levels with the congregational and individual expectations in our current plan, and we want our precautions to create an inclusive environment for people of all comfort levels. We’ll have a brief coffee hour directly after worship, and then reconvene in person and virtually to talk about the following questions:
- Regardless of any changes we make, we’re committed to continuing multiplatform worship and options for other events, and to supporting masking for any people who want it. We will continue to provide masks, and we’ll nurture a culture in which masking is a comfortable choice. That said, what activities would you like to see masking be required (indoors)?
- The current plan requires that for worship leaders (including AV tech), greeters, choir members, people working with children/youth, and staff are vaccinated. Do you believe these vaccination requirements are still relevant?
- Do you believe it’s time to end the process of signing in for events so we can contact folx individually if a case of Covid is reported?
- If you attend worship virtually on a regular basis, why do you continue to choose virtual participation?
- What else do you want us to know?
If you have feedback you’d like to share but can’t attend the meeting, please send it via this form to to Jocie Luglio, email her, or give her a call, by the end of June 26.
