Message from Bev Buhr, president JRUUC Board of Trustees
Dear friends,
In a recent email from our UUA President, Susan Frederick-Gray, said, “There is no script for these times. We are all learning as we go—building skills of resilience and letting compassion, connection, and ministry be our guide.”
I think this is a time for the ministry between us to grow. To that end I am inviting all of you to reach out to one another, phone, email, text, zoom, etc. Social isolation on top of all the anxiety and fear we experience in some way each day, is something that I am concerned about, and something we can help each other with.
We will be learning how to use zoom software for our worship, staff, task force, covenant, committee and team meetings. This is a new skill for most of us. Please be gentle with us and each other as we start using this format for our Coffee hour this week after service. I hope & think we will derive some comfort by having these virtual opportunities to connect. In the coming weeks there will be opportunities to learn the basics of participating in a zoom meeting, and who knows maybe you will start inviting others to meet over zoom!
See you soon on zoom!
Bev
