Minister’s Musings – “The Practice of Wonder” 12/7/22

I have just a short reflection this week, and that is about the practice of wonder that Rev. Ian and I talked about this past Sunday.  It was beautiful to be in the sanctuary on Sunday, filled with the energy of singing together and the joy of being together.

It was a gift to have a full day of free time on Monday, and to meet a dear friend for dinner.  It was delicious to drink a cup of freshly made chai latte and eat a sandwich made with chunks of turkey breast and lots of care (I’m so glad I chose the Victory Cafe for my Tuesday office hours!) yesterday, and then it was soothing to see the huge snowflakes falling in the afternoon.

It was nourishing to meet with the Worship Team last night, to talk through feedback on our services, to think about who to invite into our pulpit, and to co-create the topics for next month’s services.

I look forward to looking for the wonder in whatever comes during the rest of the week.  What acts of wonder(ing) have you been practicing?

In faith and love,

Karen
