On August 12th, the COVID Task Force sent out an email about the new COVID plan draft which you can read in its entirety here.
This continues to be a community process, and we want everyone to have ample time to weigh in. At the same time, we’re mindful of the desire of many folx to begin to sing together on Sunday mornings, and we’d like to have a new plan in place by early September to allow us to do that at our ingathering / water communion service on September 11th.
We’ll be holding two listening sessions via different platforms:
- Zoom meeting on Wednesday, August 24 at 7:15 – 8:15 pm, hosted by Jocie Luglio and Mary Pitassi – Zoom link
- Meeting ID: 996 9361 8325
- Passcode: 413804
- In person meeting on Sunday, August 28 at 11:30 am – 12:30 pm in the sanctuary, hosted by Deb Myrbo and Rev. Karen
If you’re unable to attend either of these sessions, we still want to hear from you!
Please email your comments and suggestions to Jocie Luglio by 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 28.
Here are some highlights of the new draft:
- Continued use of the Covid ActNow data for Dane County as a guide
- Continued emphasis on covenantal consent
- An easier-to-read format, with one page containing a simple risk mitigation chart for each operational level
- Clearly stated congregational and individual expectations
- Far fewer restrictions, and much more singing
