Where are you from? Where do you belong? Who belongs? Martin Alvarado talks about growing up in two cultures, with family members on both sides of the immigration divide, and experiencing second-hand whiteness while growing up in Mexico City and living as an adult in Madison.
Martin Alvarado works as a community engagement librarian at Madison Public Library supporting entrepreneurs and supporting digital literacy. He can be heard on WORT 89.9 FM on Monday mornings from 9-noon on the “Global Revolutions” show, playing folk and international music.
