Waging Peace

Our guest speaker today will be John Fournelle from Veterans for Peace. Together we’ll explore some of the ways we can contribute to present and future peace in a pluralistic society.

  • The Share the Plate for Sunday May 26th and Sunday June 2 is Madison Veterans for Peace, the local chapter of a global organization of Military Veterans and allies whose collective efforts are to build a culture of peace by using our experiences and lifting our voices. They inform the public of the true causes of war and the enormous costs of wars, with an obligation to heal the wounds of wars. Their work includes: educating the public, advocating for a dismantling of the war economy, providing services that assist veterans and victims of war, and most significantly, working to end all wars.
