Welcoming the Stranger

Immigration is at a crisis level both at the border and here at home.  Why are we as people of faith called upon to welcome the stranger in our midst?

Our worship leader, Rabbi Bonnie Margulis, is the founder and Executive Director of Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice. She is also a founder and steering committee member for the Dane Sanctuary Coalition, of which JRUUC is an active congregational member.

They work to address the unmet legal needs of immigrants in the Madison area, especially those facing deportation. They provide legal representation and consultation, as well as education on immigration issues for the wider community.
