Wisdom of (All) Ages

On this morning, as we approach the time the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead is said to be thinnest, we’ll honor our ancestors – be they familial, cultural, or chosen – in ritual.  And it’s the fifth Sunday of the month, which means we’ll also join in activities for all ages in a “multigenerational fair” format.  Please bring a memento to place on an ancestor altar.

We’ll have live music from our Sacred Breath Choir and our folk singing group today.

  • The Share-the-Plate for October 22 and 29 will be Milestone Democratic School in Madison. They are a not-for-profit, tuition-free public charter school designed for students who are disengaged from school. Staff are committed to anti-racism, justice, equity, and trauma-informed care. Students are engaged in their own learning design, everyone has a voice, and all voices are heard. Milestone Democratic School was nominated by Mary Witchita, who says the school saved the life of her grandson who is transgender.
