Sometimes, in our desire to feel included, we find ourselves showing up as less than our full selves. This morning, we’ll explore what lies at the intersection between being comfortable in our own skins, and our acceptance by the world around us. [Image Credit: Pexels]

The Share the Plate recipient for Sunday February 16th and Sunday February 23rd is the Jawdat family in Gaza. Yasmine Jawdat Arafat Madi, a 37-year old mother of five children, lives in a displacement camp in Deir al-Balah on Bahr (in Abi in Karak Al-Thaniyya next to the Water Authority), with her husband, Josie Abdul Karim Ibrahim and her children. The collection we took for the Jawdat Family in July made a huge impact on their ability to purchase food and clothing for the children. Now that winter has arrived, food has become even more scarce, prices have increased, and rain floods the tents of displaced families like Yasmine Jawdat’s. Let’s help this amazing family stay fed and warm this winter. The Jawdat family was nominated by Jennifer Hedstrom.
