Listening Our Thoughts Into Being

Join us for this service via an on-line Zoom Meeting

Our nation is experiencing many crises that impact our personal and communal lives, and for many of us, one response has been to develop or follow ideas we believe are “right.”  In this frame, our conversations often become cycles in which we hear something that triggers us to stop listening so we can formulate our responses.  This morning we’ll explore how this has led to entrenchment and polarization, and how listening to simply hear others or give them space to form their ideas.

Share the Plate

  • Our Share The Plate recipient this week is The GoFundMe for Jacob Blake, the man shot by police in Kenosha on August 23.

Julia Jackson established this fund “to cover my son’s medical expenses, mental and grief counseling for our family and to assist our family in the days to come, as we continue to seek justice for Jacob. A portion of these proceeds will also be used to benefit my son’s six children, some of whom witnessed this horrific act of violence.”

See Justice for Jacob Blake for more information.
