Intention + Covenant = Consent

[Note: This reflection’s recording also contains voices of Reeb members recalling why we came, why we stayed, and how we participate in and benefit from our congregation.]

We’ve been hearing the language of “covenantal consent” as we review the new version of the COVID-19 Strategic Plan that our task force has been working on.  It’s a term that comes from the UUA, and a way to talk about building a culture of consent around our behavior and responses to COVID.  This morning, we’ll explore what it means and why the COVID Task Force has chosen to use it.

Share the Plate

  • Our Share the Plate recipient this week is Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice, an interfaith education and advocacy organization that works to bring awareness and advocate for systemic changes addressing the root causes of poverty, racial inequity, and social injustices in our state. Their programs have included interfaith community building, the Dane Sanctuary Coalition and poverty simulations.
