As our Christian siblings move into Advent, we explore what we might learn from this season of waiting.
Share the Plate
Our Share the Plate this week is the new outdoor free food pantry at East High School. This project was initiated by students and the pantry was built by a student as part of his Eagle Scout project. Students and community members are welcome to take what they need. The pantry is along the 4th Street side of the building and painted in the school colors of purple and yellow. Our funds will be used to purchase food supplies.
Community members are also welcome to donate canned items that are not expired. No glass and no items that contain nuts please. Donations should not be put directly into the pantry, but instead dropped off at the EHS Welcome Center, which is Door 2 on North Fourth Street.
