‘Tis the Season for the Giving Tree

Each year we put up a Giving Tree in our lobby and choose a recipient for gifts from the Congregation. This year the recipients will be the men and women in the Dane County Jail. We have two ways for you to be involved.

1) Write a holiday card to be given to an individual in jail to brighten their days. Cards to personalize are available in the narthex, along with important specific instructions.  Please do not seal the envelopes. All cards must be returned by Sunday, December 20, 2015.

2) We will be collecting the following items during the month of December to be the distributed by chaplains:

  • Men’s Underwear (white)
  • Men’s T-shirts (white)
  • Men’s Thermal Shirts (white)
  • Tube Socks (white)
  • Reading Glasses (1.0 – 4.0 strength)
  • Greeting Cards
  • Stamped Envelopes
  • Writing Paper
  • Composition notebooks (not spiral bound)
  • Pencils
  • Drawing/Sketch Paper
  • Colored Pencils
  • Playing Cards
  • Calendars
  • Sacred Spiritual Books (Bible, Quran, Torah – in English and Spanish)

Please bring all donations to put under/near the Giving Tree.
