“MLK Ecumenical Service” organized by Madison’s King Coalition We’ll begin with some social time for Reebers at 10:30 and then watch the MLK service together starting at 11:00.
This service engages members from the broader Madison community. It includes people from diverse religious traditions, socioeconomic statuses, ethnicities and political beliefs joining together in the spirit of brotherhood/ sisterhood to honor Dr. King’s dream of social justice and equality to break down the walls of discrimination. It also seeks to develop the “beloved community” through spiritual inclusivity and recognition of our shared humanity. Recent national and international events remind us that “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”.
